There is a different rhythm to the Counterswarm Rushing Claw Spiritborn. You are not parking in one spot and trading hits; you are cutting through the fight, dragging danger behind you, then watching poison finish the job. Before pushing deep Pit tiers, it is worth sorting out the right D4 items, since this setup needs several pieces working together rather than one oversized damage roll. The real payoff is freedom of movement, solid damage while repositioning, and far fewer awkward gaps between packs.

Build Around the Dash First

Rushing Claw is the part that makes the whole thing click. Get Ravager to at least rank 20 through affixes and charms, and you will keep four Ferocity stacks available. Rushing Claw spends those stacks to restore its own charge, so it can be used again straight away. That changes how the build feels. You can hold the skill through a corridor, dart out of elite attacks, then loop back through the same group without waiting on a timer. Each dash also feeds the wider engine, including mobility bonuses and defensive-skill scaling from Resolve.

Keep the Swarms Close

Counterattack supplies the damage layer by calling up Pestilent Swarms. Ring of Writhing Moon is the item that stops them feeling unreliable. Instead of drifting away from the target area, the swarms circle the Spiritborn, turning every dash into a moving poison zone. Mobs that survive the first pass usually stay poisoned while you are already onto the next pack. The ring also trims 0.25 seconds from equipped Eagle-skill cooldowns on hit, which helps Ravager and other supporting buttons come back before the fight gets messy.

Gear Choices That Change the Run

A Keen Turning Prism can be used in the Horadric Cube to transfigure an amulet for Aspect of Kinetic Suppression. It grants Resolve when Rushing Claw is cast, then raises defensive-skill damage by as much as 150% at high stacks. Kwoti's Grace adds another major layer: two pieces boost Eagle damage when Vigor is empty, three pieces give 30% damage reduction while moving, and five pieces add speed plus 200% Eagle damage on the move. [table] Piece count | Main benefit: 2 | Eagle damage and cooldown help; 3 | moving damage reduction; 5 | movement speed and larger Eagle damage boost. Put Yul and Key on ancestral chest armour or pants as well, letting cooldown casts trigger Vortex and pull enemies into the swarm ring.

Play It Like a Moving Trap

Dexterity is the first stat to chase, with 2,200 or more being a sensible high-end target. Maximum Life, Armour, Damage over Time Multiplier, and Poison Damage Multiplier should follow. On Paragon, Minerist and Convergence are useful routes, while Consumption near Bitter Medicine and Colossal deserve early glyph-radius upgrades. In combat, start Ravager, Toxic Skin, Scourge, and The Devourer, then spend both Counterattack charges before dashing through the pull. Players looking for cheap D4 items can prioritise the ring and mobility pieces first, since the build comes alive once the swarms stay glued to you.
